FIGHT CLUB
Combat Pursuit is pleased bring you FIGHT CLUB the only Paintball House League in the GTA. Fight Club has been running for over 6 years and has had tremendous success introducing new players to the tournament format of Paintball. Like any other organized sporting league players sign up to play and we assign them to a team. The team will remain the same for the entire duration of the season.
Format: 5 Man teams will play on a regulation “Xball” field. Each team will play 1 Match per week against an opposing team. A match is made up of 10 individual games. The game played is called center flag push. The objective is to grab the flag from the center and hang it at the other teams starting station without being eliminated and before the 4 minute time limit is reached. Of course this sounds much easier then it actually is. Scores are awarded as follows: 1 point for each live player at the end of the game, 1 point for each eliminated opponent and 2 points for hanging the flag. Maximum points for any individual game is 12 (120 for the entire match). The game format is simple and designed to promote fair play.
5 players per team are allowed on the field for a game. Each team can have up to 10 players on a roster. Coaches are assigned to teams to ensure that players are given equal opportunity for growth and development as a players. A minimum of 2 referees and 1 score keeper will be present at each match.
Divisions:
Micro: Born in years 2002 to 2004 and over the age of 8. Targeted ages are 8 to 10 years. All players use Microball Equipment. Sunday 5pm to 7pm.
Young Guns: Born in years 1998 to 2002 and over the age of 10. Targeted ages are 11 to 14. Runs Monday 5pm to 6:30pm
Rookie: Born in years 1994 to 1998. Targeted at ages 15 to 18. Runs Monday 7pm to 8:30pm
Master: No age restrictions. Targeted to ages 18 and over. Runs Monday 9pm to 10:30pm
Registration: Players must register in advance for the full season. Space is limited so get your registration in early. Registration can be done in person at any of our Proshops or over the phone at 416-284-0746 ext 22. Costs of registration is $125 plus applicable taxes. Included with the registration is: Team Jersey, 10 weeks of play, discounted paintballs, free compressed air fills on league nights, free team practice time during specified times, Free Rental Equipment during league games & practices and an invite to the end of season banquet with food, refreshments and prizes. Registration is currently open.
Session Dates:
Spring session start Monday March 19th 2012
Fall session start Monday September 24th 2012
The first night of Fight Club is going to be Monday March 19 2012 2011.
Please note that for the first night it would be a good idea for you to show up about 1 hour before your Match is scheduled to start. This will leave enough time for registration and for us to brief you on rules and how the Match is played. It is pretty normal for the first night to get a slower start which sometimes results in a slightly later finish. We apologize in advance for this. Going forward times run pretty much according to schedule. Arriving 30min before the Match is normally more than enough time. Each Match should last about 80 Minutes.
Team rosters are not yet finalized as we still have registrations coming in. We will be doing this over the weekend. You will find out what team you are on when you arrive on Monday. We will do our best to accommodate requests for playing the same team as someone else. Being a house league we will be doing team balancing over the first 2-3 weeks. On Monday we will be issuing the team Jerseys. As a result of balancing teams will change and Jerseys will need to swapped so please do not put your names or mark the Jerseys in any way until after the 3rd week. If you do you will be required to purchase a new Jersey for the player that needs to get it.
Team Jerseys have been sponsored by Empire Paintball and look just like to the following. These are part of the Brand New 2012 line up of gear so even if you are not playing good you will at least be looking good……..
Also back by popular demand is the Attendance Prize draw. As a way of showing our appreciation for coming to play each week we will be raffling off a Proto Rail from DYE Precision. These guns are worth over $300.00 and shoot like they should be worth double that. If you already have a Kill Stick that you like then you can opt to take a $200 DYE credit. To be eligible you must arrive each night AND play for your team. How hard is that? At the end of season banquet your name will be put into a raffle. If your name is Drawn you go home with a slick new shooter!
